Det var jo utroligt så hurtigt det går når der skal uddeles penge. Men var dusøren ikke tiltaenkt den eller de som gav tips til politiet og ikke politiet selv, som allerede har løn for at udføre deres arbejde - latterligt !!!! Gen. Somyot lauded the investigation team for their hard work by offering them three fat stacks of cash worth THB1 million each, which sat in front of him at the podium. We thought the reward was supposed to be for those who give information leading to the arrest, not for the officers who were ostensibly just doing their job. But we will refrain from commenting further on that. Neither do we have any comment on whether giving cash rewards to police in cases like this might incentivize false arrests. The reward for anyone with information about the Ratchaprasong bomber had initially been set by police at THB1 million and was later increased up THB3 million by Somwang Asrasi, a red-shirt leader and the former secretary to Deputy Commerce Ministry. For his part, Somyot said that THB1 million of the reward is coming from his own money and the rest is coming from “friends”, ThaiPBS reported. In summary, it's totally unclear where the money for the reward came from. It's also unclear whether the landlady who allegedly tipped police to the suspect's location in her apartment building will share any part of the reward, the Nation reported. Policeman kills supervisor over low evaluation results The Nation ROI ET: -- A policeman allegedly shot dead his supervisor Friday because he was unhappy with his performance evaluation results. Pol Lieutenant Prawit Tonthong, 56, a deputy inspector at the Phon Thong Police Station in Roi Et province, repeatedly shot at Pol Lt-Colonel Phirawat Phumkipark, 45, in front of many other policemen while they were having a meal together. During the meal, Prawit asked Phirawat about the evaluation, in which he was accused of negligence and not granted a pay raise. Upon hearing Phirawat say, "Everything is concluded. No need to talk about it now", Prawit opened fire and then fled the scene. However, he returned soon and surrendered to face charges. UK academic held at Thai airport By Jonathan Head South East Asia correspondent A UK academic has spent the last four days in detention at an airport in Thailand over a dispute arising from a UN report he wrote nine years ago. Agricultural consultant Wyn Ellis was stopped at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and told he had been reported as a threat to national security. It is a twist in an extraordinary saga which shows problems over protecting intellectual property in Thailand. It also highlights the dangers of exposing well-connected Thai officials. Dr Ellis, who has been working with the UN on sustainable rice production, was stopped at immigration at the airport. In 2008, Dr Ellis, who is originally from Swansea, spotted a dissertation on promoting organic agricultural products, in particular asparagus, that seemed familiar. On reading it, he realised a lot of it had been copied from a report on a year-long study he had conducted for Thailand's International Trade Centre two years earlier. On further investigation he realised that nearly all of the dissertation had been copied from other sources; only in 14 pages out of 161, he says, could he not find clear evidence of plagiarism. Thai court upholds death sentence of man who raped and murdered young girl on train HUA HIN - Thailand’s Appeal Court has upheld the death sentence for a railway employee convicted of the rape and murder a 13 year old girl, whilst on a train heading for Bangkok from Nakhon Si Thammarat, in July last year. The Court’s decision was read out in the Hua Hin Provincial Court on Monday, with the convicted killer present, reports ThaiRath. The barbarous murder committed by the train employee, Wanchai Saengkhao, 23, had sparked uproar in Thailand and provoked calls for the execution of people convicted of rape. Wanchai was convicted of raping and murdering a 13 year old child, who was sleeping in her berth on the train at the time. He then threw her out of the moving carriage whilst she was still alive. The 23 year old came clean about drinking and taking drugs whilst on shift, and before raping and killing the girl, who was travelling with her sisters to Bangkok. The child’s body was found three days later, near train tracks in Prachuap Khiri Khan. The felony then prompted the railway authority to introduce a scheme where there are women's-only carriages on the main routes nationwide. Despite Wanchai pleading guilty during the original trial, the court ruled that because the evidence against him was overwhelming, he should still face the death penalty. Seems right .... Father dare his sons to shot himself end in tragedy. A Thai man decided to shoot himself after he had been arguing with his father. At 02.00 am Pol.Lt.Col.Athikom Apichainukoolkit- inspector of NongPrue police station- was notified that a man had been shot in KruaBoonRod restaurant. After notification the police officers rushed to the scene. At the scene the officers found Mr.Todsawat Boonrod aged 21 who was the son of Senior Sergeant Major.Todsawat Boonrod . He had sustained a gunshot wound to his neck, he was then sent to Bangkok-Pattaya hospital for treatment. The police then inspected the scene and found a bullet shell which they kept for evidence. Also the restaurant had a bullet hole in the window. Police Senior Sergeant Major.Todsawat said that his son was playing games and he scolded him because he wouldn’t help his mom around the house. Later he put his gun on the table and argued with his son before he ran over picked up his gun and shot himself. However, the police officers will investigate the incident in more detail to find the truth. |

Faderen troede at sønnen tog pistolen og skød ind i væggen, derfor langede han sønnen én. Men da sønnen lå på gulvet gik det op for faderen hvad der var sket. Der kom en senere update, sønnen havde ikke skudt sig i nakken men ind i øret. Sønnen troede vel ikke at våbenet var ladt. Ved ikke rigtig om faderen er militær eller politimand? Dejligt at have en familie som der lige prøver at gemme pistolen først inden at man ser til sønnen. Det ser ud som om at faderen opfordrer sønnen til at skyde ham, men så istedet vender gøbben mod sig selv i frustration og trykker af. |

Jeg undrer mig tit over hvordan hulen man får slæbt hele den dybt, dybt overtroiske landbefolkning, ja faktisk hele befolkningen incl. The Happy General, med ind i det 21. århundrede.
